Tragedy struck on a quiet Atlanta street when gunfire erupted, leaving one man dead and another wounded in a shooting on Campbellton Road. The Atlanta Police Department reported that Zone 4 officers were called yesterday to 3909 Campbellton Rd. SW at around 5:37 p.m., following reports of shots fired and people injured.
At the scene, the first responders discovered a male victim with a fatal gunshot wound, he was pronounced dead right there by the medical team that dashed hopes for survival, meanwhile, a second male victim had already been rushed to a local hospital in a private vehicle, by the time officers made it to the hospital the victim was found to still be alert and conscious despite suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, as detailed in a news release on the Atlanta Police Department's website.
