
A violent altercation between two Flint Township neighbors on Thursday night resulted in one man being shot dead and another seriously wounded, authorities said. Officials from the Flint Township Police Department told WJRT that they responded to the disturbance on the 3000 block of Ridgecliffe Drive and upon arrival found a 30-year-old man with a fatal gunshot wound. A 38-year-old neighbor was discovered with a stab wound, and was subsequently transported to the hospital for surgery, he was listed in stable condition Friday morning.
The circumstances that led to the deadly skirmish are still under investigation, but authorities confirmed that it was an isolated incident stemming from a dispute between the neighbors. The deceased and the injured have not been identified by the authorities.
The Genesee County Prosecutor's Office will review the case once the investigation is complete, as reported by WNEM.
