
A San Carlos-based company hit by nearly $300k fraud saw some semblance of justice this week. According to a report by the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office, former employee Tina M. Cabudoy, 50, from Santa Rosa, was nabbed for a nearly $300,000 embezzlement scheme.
In June 2023, the case blew open when deputies took a report for embezzlement from the tech company. Months of thorough investigation led detectives to Cabudoy, who was cuffed and stuffed on March 20. Backed by the Santa Rosa Police Department and relying on an arrest warrant, her arrest went down without a hitch, signaling the end of a lengthy and complex trail of deception and deceit.
Cabudoy now faces serious time, booked at the Maguire Correctional Facility on embezzlement and bench warrant charges. Authorities slapped her with 503 PC – Embezzlement and 978.5 PC – Bench Warrant packed charges – driving home the gravity of her financial misdeeds.
