Authorities in Gwinnett County are on the hunt for two suspects following a heist at a local vape and tobacco shop in Norcross, where the duo reportedly made off with about $2,000 worth of vape pens. The robbery, which shook the quiet routine of the 6000 block of Singleton Road last month, initially seemed to be the work of a lonesome gunman, but new evidence has emerged suggesting a second man was in on the crime. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, police have turned their attention to locating this second suspect, who has been described as a thin Hispanic male clad in a white zip-up hoodie, a red shirt, black pants, and a distinctive "Z" belt buckle.
Surveillance footage has given detectives a clearer picture of the first suspect as well, a man similarly described by police as a Hispanic male, standing around 5 feet, 2 inches tall, featuring a skinny build and described as having facial hair; he was caught on camera entering the shop, feigning interest in the bestselling products before revealing his true intent—a heist, police stated he pulled out a silver and black pistol and ordered the store’s stock to be emptied into his black Bestway bag, his appearance was marked by a black hoodie and pants, standout green shoes, and blue sunglasses, as Atlanta News First reported.
The Gwinnett County Police are now urging the public to come forward with any information that could lead to the apprehension of these suspects. In a bid to encourage anonymous tips that might shed light on the case, law enforcement has reminded the community that they can reach out to Crime Stoppers. This move could not only help secure the community but also may result in a financial reward for information that leads to an arrest or indictment—providing incentives for witnesses that might wish to remain in the shadows.
Gwinnett Police have provided the contact number (770) 513-5300 for any leads directly related to the case, and for those preferring to stay out of the direct line of sight, Crime Stoppers can be contacted at (404) 577-TIPS (8477) or through an online submission.
