Law enforcement officials are requesting the public's assistance in nabbing a suspect who allegedly held up a local business at gunpoint, escaping with a chunk of cash. The heist took place on March 13 in the northern reaches of Houston, with deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office rushing to the scene at a shop on Huffmeister Road after getting the call.
Described as a young man between 18 and 20, the suspect brandished some iron and made off with about $600, according to a video statement by local authorities. Witnesses spotted him hoofing it on foot before dipping into the passenger seat of a getaway car, a white Audi—could be an A4, A5, or A6—before it peeled off, heading south on Huffmeister.
Making the suspect a neighborhood figure, deputies speculate he might not have strayed far from home in Cypress, Texas. He's a slim guy with a characteristic afro and was last seen decked out in a gray hoodie, black pants that whisper break-the-wind, and a pair of New Balance sneakers that kept the balance between white and black.
In a public call to action, Constable Mark Herman expressed, “If you have any information regarding the identity of this suspect, please contact our dispatch or your local law enforcement agency.”
