Tonight, the coastal haze will roll back in after 11:00 p.m., setting the stage for a mostly cloudy evening and a dip in the thermometer to around 52 degrees. Those evening strolls down Sunset Boulevard might just require an extra layer as the gentle breezes mellow out to a lull.
Heading into Thursday, morning fog will once more sweep across the cityscape before conceding to partly sunny conditions and daily highs peaking near 67 degrees. The Weather Service warns that winds could start to pick up, potentially to gust as high as 20 mph.
The latter part of the week ushers in more change as Friday's mostly sunny outlook takes a turn with rain likely by nighttime, with projection hitting a 70% chance. The weekend is set to be a wet one, with rain dominating the forecast and reaching a 90% probability on Saturday. Temperatures during the daytime will take a slight dip to the mid-50 degrees as the week concludes.
Angelenos will need to keep their umbrellas close at hand since the forecast, as observed on the National Weather Service, suggests a potential thunderstorm Saturday night with continuing showers into Sunday and possibly tapering off by Monday.
With the wet weekend wrapping up, the silver lining seems to appear by the start of the new week, with sunny conditions expected to return on Monday and highs rebounding to the upper 60 degrees. By Tuesday, it'll be all clear skies and a pleasant surge to a high near 71 degrees.
