A Lynnwood man, who tragically lost his life in a vicious attack within his own apartment back in February, has been identified. According to KIRO 7, the victim was Brandon J. Lloyd, age 32. He was found deceased on February 26 in his residence situated on the 15400 block of 35th Avenue West.
Turning the case into a murder inquiry, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner declared the cause of death to be "sharp force injuries," indicative of a brutal stabbing event. Adding to the details of the horrific crime, Lynnwood Times reports — a juvenile, merely 17 years of age, was apprehended on March 6 and is facing charges of second-degree murder in the demise of Lloyd, whose residence was within Brio Condominiums in Lynnwood.
Authorities had responded to a call late into the night of February 26, after a neighbor's alert. They discovered Lloyd's body upon entering the apartment, bringing the quiet community face to face with an unsettling act of violence. According to FOX 13 Seattle, this report came from the concerned neighbor who suspected that a grim incident had taken place next door. Officers arrived at the Brio Condominiums, near 35th Ave. W and 153rd St. SW, to stumble upon the appalling scene.
The suspect in this harrowing occurrence was nabbed less than 600 feet away from where Lloyd's body was found, bringing about a swift albeit somber resolution to the case. The teenager was subsequently booked into the Denney Juvenile Justice Center, awaiting charges that, if proven, could drastically truncate his own journey just as it has cruelly cut short that of Lloyd's.
