A man was critically injured after being unintentionally caught in a shootout between two vehicles on San Antonio's southeast side, authorities confirmed. The incident, which played out near the 3500 block of Goliad close to Interstate 37, occurred early yesterday morning around 1:45 a.m., police said.
According to a KENS5 report, the victim was hit in the crossfire after two cars pulled up and the occupants started firing at each other. The 34-year-old man who was shot managed to reach a nearby mobile home park, where he called for help, despite sustaining critical injuries.
First responders transported the victim to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition. The San Antonio Police Department has not provided any additional details regarding the description of the suspects or their vehicles, as the man was unable to provide a description to the officers, as per a KSAT article.
