
A man was left fighting for his life after a daylight shooting in Atlanta, police have revealed. The violence erupted near the I-20 Westbound Ramp SW and Pryor Street SW on March 22nd when a male victim was discovered with a gunshot wound to his groin. The Atlanta Police Department stated that officers were called to the scene at around 12:53 PM. The man, though not alert or conscious, was found to be breathing and quickly transported to the hospital for urgent treatment.
Authorities are now hunting for the shooter who managed to quickly flee the area before police could arrive. The Aggravated Assault Unit is leading the investigation to not only find the suspect but to also piece together exactly what happened, the Atlanta Police Department reported in an official statement.
The department has not released any information regarding suspects or motives as the probe continues. Detectives are combing through evidence and looking to speak with any witnesses to try and identify the individual responsible for the shooting.
