
A heated spat in a Wendy's parking lot in Holland, Michigan, took a turn for the worse when a man was seriously injured after being flung from the hood of a car driven by his wife amid their quarrel. According to WZZM13, the incident took place shortly after noon on Monday and involved a Grand Haven couple who were arguing in their '09 Dodge Charger before the situation escalated dangerously.
Police say, that during the argument, the 45-year-old man stepped out of the vehicle, and his 44-year-old wife locked the doors. In a bid to leave, she tried to drive out of the parking lot as he jumped onto the car's hood. The Holland Sentinel reported that as she turned onto a private roadway, her husband was thrown from the vehicle and struck his head on the pavement, "according to the Holland Sentinel.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries from the incident. His wife who remained unscathed, is not currently facing any charges as the investigation by the Holland Department of Public Safety continues.
