A quiet Manchester neighborhood was rocked by violence yesterday morning when a woman was charged with the murder of a 75-year-old man. As reported by CBS News Boston, the suspect, identified as Carrie Drake, 54, allegedly stabbed Vernon Hayford to death in an apartment on Chestnut Street. Authorities arrived on the scene around 5 a.m. after receiving a distress call.
Hayford, who suffered life-threatening injuries, was hastily rushed to the hospital by the emergency authorities where he was later pronounced dead.
