The search is on for a suspect in the Boston area after an assault and battery incident took place on a Red Line train earlier this month. The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Transit Police released information seeking assistance in identifying an individual in connection with the event which occurred on March 14 at approximately 12PM, where a male victim was reportedly struck multiple times.
Authorities have yet to provide specifics about the altercation but the MBTA Transit Police disseminated an image of the person of interest through its official X account, urging the public to come forward with any information that could prove integral in their investigation, sharing "Recognize this person of interest? Pls contact our Criminal Investigations Unit at 617-222-1050. You can remain anonymous. TY." Witnesses and those in the vicinity at the time of the incident are likely to provide key insights that may lead to an arrest, the suspected assailant having fled the scene following the assault.
