Mesa Welcomes Proposed Massive Tech Campus, Over 350 New Jobs AnticipatedSource: Google Street View

Mesa, Arizona's economy could get a major boost with the announcement of a new, expansive tech campus poised to bring a bounty of software jobs to the locale. Patrick Hallman of Phoenix-based C&H Associates LLC has proposed a sizable "software solutions center" that would occupy a substantial 650,000 square feet of space situated on roughly 25 acres within the Elliot Road Technology Corridor, a hotspot for burgeoning tech developments, according to a report from ABC15 News.

The proposed campus is designed to serve the needs of G.AI Solutions LLC, a company incorporated just this past December and officially formed in February, with Hallman as the statutory agent and Singapore-based Peng Khoon Tan listed under principal information, according to documents from the Arizona Corporation Commission. The real estate at 9236 E. Prairie Ave. where the future hub will ring with the sounds of innovation is currently in the portfolio of San Diego's Sunbelt Investment Holdings Inc.—SIHI—which has left its indelible mark across Mesa as a heavyweight land developer.

SIHI President Todd Holzer has directed all project inquiries to the Mesa economic development department which, per a statement obtained by Business Journal, said it had no comment beyond the information already submitted in the official application. That application details a vision of dramatic growth and opportunity, with the potential for 350 software jobs spanning various specializations: from engineers to designers, technicians to support staff, the brunt of the space is earmarked for "computer facilities," a reflection of the tech-centric zeitgeist enveloping Mesa's development narrative.

Comprising two buildings, the project is plotted out to unfurl in two phases; the first will see a two-story, 320,000 square-foot cornerstone followed by a second, slightly larger structure at 330,000 square feet and boasting an extra floor but, like its precursor this building will have 297,000 square feet dedicated to computers with a smaller allocation for office space. Surrounding developments only add to the allure of the area, with CyrusOne Inc.'s data center to the west and retail ventures such as the Eastgate Plaza promising to inject a vibrant mix of eateries and lodging into the community, a potential catalyst that could further solidify Mesa's status as a nexus for economic progress amid Arizona's sun-drenched expanse.
