Spring has sprung, and the City of Mesquite is set to mark the season with its annual Bunny EGGstravaganza. The event, completely free to the public and sponsored by America's Credit Union, is scheduled for Saturday, March 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Evans Recreation Center, located at 1116 Hillcrest St.
Families should prepare to quickly scramble over to indulge in a morning brimming with festivities. Kicking off at 10 a.m. and continuing with another round at noon, kids can participate in two egg hunts designated by age groups, aiming to swiftly snatch up the candy-stuffed eggs. "This year, some eggs will contain special coupons from Nothing Bundt Cakes for a free treat," as noted in the City of Mesquite, Texas.
The Bunny EGGstravaganza isn't solely about the egg hunt. It will also feature complimentary photos with the Easter Bunny, alongside various other attractions such as a balloon artist, face painting, and arts and crafts—means to stoke the sparks of creativity in young ones. Moreover, bounce houses will also be set up for the children to enjoy, provided by Galloway Avenue Baptist Church.
