Miami Beach Police have launched an investigation into real estate investor Patrick Carroll after videos surfaced of him casually firing a shotgun from a boat docked at his Lakeview section waterfront mansion. According to WSVN, officers were initially summoned to Carroll's home, worth an estimated $16.5 million, last Thursday. Neighbors have raised concerns over the incident, which shows Carroll sporting a 'Make America Great Again' cap whilst discharging what he claims were blanks from his firearm.

Carroll's antics seem to only have escalated as police had to be called to the scene again over the weekend. During this incident, two dogs were released from his property, a Doberman and a Belgian Malinois, roaming the neighborhood unleashed. The 44-year-old investor, known for his sizable online following of over a million Instagram fans, has attempted to justify his actions. "I was doing a demonstration. I was doing a demonstration on gun safety," Carroll said. "Using blanks," he explained in a statement obtained by WSVN.

Meanwhile, video posted on X also provides visibility into his activities, prompting further scrutiny.Notwithstanding the ongoing investigation, no arrests have been made nor charges filed against Carroll. He remains defiant, addressing his frequent police encounters and the social media backlash with comments on his Instagram account. "Most of the negative things out there about me, and, I think, you know, people, you know think badly about me. They just get the wrong impression," Carroll stated. In a past transgression, Carroll is also being sued for allegedly spitting at a Wynwood restaurant manager's face and has prior open criminal cases for battery.

Amidst the community's disquiet, Carroll has somewhat acknowledged the need to curb his social media presence. "I will slow down the posts," he admitted publicly. His large digital footprint has also been marked by controversy, as he previously made headlines for a racially-tinged altercation at Gold Rush gentleman's club in Miami, captured on surveillance footage. "I'm a loud guy, I'm 6'4, 220 [pounds]. I'm a big guy, right?" Carroll said in an Instagram post. "The mistake I made on Instagram, you know, if you call it a mistake, is just posting to much content. I'm hyper, I'm ADD. It's just because, my life is [expletive] awesome," he claimed in comments sourced by WSVN.

Residents of the upscale Lakeview neighborhood continue to voice their concerns to authorities following these ongoing incidents. Miami Beach Police have assured that their investigation is still active as they closely monitor the situation unfolding at Carroll’s waterfront abode.
