Miami residents can expect a mixed bag of weather this coming week, with warmth and humidity locked in place. Beachgoers will appreciate the "decent beach breeze into Saturday" that should offer some relief from the heat and mugginess, as NBC Miami reported.
That said, the same conditions will also escalate the risk of rip currents and cause a moderate chop in Biscayne Bay, posing a challenge for swimmers and boaters alike. The forecast calls for, "mostly cloudy," skies ton tonight with temperatures hovering around 70 degrees and Southeast wind keeping things breezy, according to the National Weather Service.
As for precipitation, Miami is looking at a calm situation initially with rain chances at a low 10% through Saturday. However, conditions are expected to shift by Sunday afternoon when rain chances, "may tick up a little," as a front stalls to the north, creating slightly more instability.
Looking ahead into next week, while the forecast suggests partly sunny days with highs consistently near 81 degrees, there's also an indication of possible showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. beginning Sunday. A "30 percent chance of showers," lingers into Monday, and those odds continue sporadically throughout the week, as informed by the National Weather Service.
For those planning ahead, it would be wise to carry an umbrella starting Sunday, as the stalled front means rain chances are "higher to the north and lower to the South at this time." NBC Miami also hints that "a few storms may linger into next week," so be prepared for potential sudden downpours.
