Car thieves made off with two high-performance vehicles from a Monroe County dealership showroom, and Michigan State Police are on the lookout for the brazen suspects. According to FOX 2 Detroit, the theft occurred early Monday at CR Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM located at 1211 E US 223 Hwy. Surveillance footage captured the group entering the showroom before 4 a.m., maneuvering around vehicles to get to a silver and baby blue Dodge Charger Scat Pack, which they then drove out of the showroom.
The ongoing investigation by the troopers has led to search warrants being issued, in hopes of tracking down the stolen vehicles and identifying those responsible for the theft. In a separate incident, central Toledo became the site of a drive-by shooting late Tuesday, resulting in one person being injured by shattered glass. Two individuals were leaving a Vance Street location when their car came under gunfire at the cross of Hawley Street, per WTOL. An 18-year-old sustained injuries due to the broken glass and was treated at the scene by first responders.
