Minneapolis is rolling out a unique initiative aiming to toast the health benefits of its municipal water. The city's Health Department just announced the Minneapolis Tap Water Ambassador Program, seeking community groups to get the word out. The department detailed its plan to give chosen groups training, funding, and additional support, according to the City of Minneapolis Health Department.
The effort to elevate the profile of tap water is no drop in the bucket. On the city's Facebook page, the Health Department stated, "Dive into the Minneapolis Tap Water Ambassador Program to spread the word about the health benefits of the City’s tap water." Organizations with a thirst for community engagement have until March 18 to apply through a link provided in the social media post, as per the City of Minneapolis Health Department.
