
Minneapolis is bracing for a tumultuous blend of weather conditions this week, with chances of both sunshine and snowfall on the horizon. According to forecasts, residents can expect breezy conditions today, with a slight chance of showers this afternoon. Clouds will increase throughout the day, and the temperature could hit the low 70s. It's noted that winds may reach 35 mph at their peak.
The wind is not letting up tonight, either, with speeds reaching 15 to 20 mph before shifting southward after midnight, and gusts potentially touching 30 mph, according to the National Weather Service. The temperature will drop to around 37 degrees, a stark contrast to today's relative warmth. Monday will usher in a slight chance of rain before 9 a.m., followed by a brief possibility of snow, then back to a slight chance of rain post-10 a.m.

By Monday night, as the sky clears to partly cloudy, temperatures are predicted to fall to around 29 degrees. An upward trend will occur on Tuesday with a sunny high near 51, but the thermometer dips again that evening, down to 29 degrees. Continuing the erratic pattern, Wednesday will mostly be sunny with similar temperatures before introducing a 30 percent chance of rain late at night.
Residents should keep their rain gear handy for Thursday, as there's a 40 percent chance of precipitation, with mostly cloudy skies and a high nearing 47 degrees. The following night, the risk of rain and snow begins before 5 a.m., carrying over into Friday's forecast which anticipates a mix of rain and snowfall. The NWS predicts that the cold front will bring the temperatures down to a high of 42 degrees, and by Friday night, it could be as low as 28 degrees.
Wrapping up the week, Saturday offers a minor respite with only a 20 percent chance of snow and partial sunshine, though it remains chilly with highs hovering around 42 degrees and blustery northnorthwest winds at 15 mph, with bursts up to 25 mph.
