The crash occurred shortly after mid-afternoon, around 2:33 p.m., near Sheridan Road. The embattled officer was swiftly taken to a local hospital, sustaining what have been described as minor injuries. According to NBC Boston, the cause of the crash remains to fully be determined, and an investigation is actively underway. Thankfully, no further property damage was reported, and no other vehicles were involved in the misfortunate event.
In an inspiring display of community spirit, a group of good Samaritans were quick to respond to the accident, aiding the officer by helping him out of the overturned vehicle. Their prompt actions undoubtedly played a role in ensuring the officer didn't sustain more grave injuries.
