
A deadly silence hangs over a normally peaceful Orland Park street after a shooting claimed a life early Wednesday morning. The Orland Park Police Department confirmed to ABC7 Chicago that one person was found shot to death inside a vehicle in the 170th block of Redbud Lane.
The call came in at about 12:03 a.m. with reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim, battling with the closing moments of life. Despite the life-saving efforts employed by responding officers, the individual succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the victim remains unreleased as the police's hunt for answers continues. The South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force is reportedly assisting in the investigation.
