A fatal collision on a Minnesota roadway claimed the life of a Pelican Rapids man on Tuesday, authorities report. Officials from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety confirm that 59-year-old Timmy James Tarnowski was killed when his semi collided with a pickup truck driven by Georgii Gabiev, a 32-year-old from Brooklyn, New York.
The crash took place at the intersection of Highway 7 and Chippewa County Road 4, just north of Maynard in Stoneham Township, according to a Valley News Live report.
Heading eastbound on Highway 7, Tarnowski’s 2007 Freightliner Semi was struck by Gabiev’s northbound 2022 Ford F350. Gabiev was transported to Willmar Hospital following the crash with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
