A tragic tale unfolded in Boynton Beach where a Pembroke Pines woman met a grisly end after her car took a fatal plunge into a nearby lake. Cing Dim, 26, was reportedly behind the wheel of a Hyundai Sonata that vaulted over a curb and crashed into the waters off Military Trail on March 5.
With the car sinking rapidly, Dim's cries for help pierced the calm before rescuers could reach her. Retrieved from the vehicle by Palm Beach Fire Rescue personnel, she was initially taken to Bethesda West Hospital, as reported by CBS12. Suffering from the injuries sustained during the harrowing incident, Dim needed to be transferred later to Delray Medical Center for further care.
Despite the efforts of the medical professionals, Dim's life halted a week later, on the afternoon of March 12. Having battled her injuries for days, the 26-year-old was pronounced deceased at Delray Medical Center, a somber end captured in an article shared on BocaNewsNow which quoted a police report stating that "Dim was later pronounced deceased at Delray Medical Center."
The Palm Beach County Sherrif’s Office provided a harrowing account of the event, revealing how crashing through a parking lot barrier, Dim’s car met its watery grave fully submerged, while situated in the center of the lake, as her life lingered in the balance. Her final moments, spent trapped within the confines of her Hyundai, were detailed in the same report that the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office shared with BocaNewsNow, noting "(The Hyundai) was traveling southbound through the parking lot of 11211 South Military Trail."
