The City of Roses is about to get a new watering hole courtesy of its own slice of Americana—the Portland Pickles baseball team. Hoping to hit it out of the park with sports fans, the Pickles are slated to open a fresh sports bar in North Portland that aims to be a grand slam for viewing March Madness and a full lineup of sports.

Setting up shop at 3932 North Mississippi Avenue, the yet-to-be-named bar will be no typical pub, featuring a state-of-the-art 3-story game screen that will broadcast local, national, and international sports—ranging from home-run derbies to scrums down under. "We are incredibly excited to unveil our new sports bar to the Portland community," Alan Miller, the owner of a Portland Pickles, told KOIN.

The establishment is more than just a paradise for sports aficionados; it will serve up a menu packed with a variety of ballpark hot dogs representing flavors from across the nation, not to mention an extensive selection of drinks to wash it all down. With an eye towards fandom's fashion side, a pop-up merch shop will also offer patrons the chance to snag some Pickles gear, ensuring fans can showcase their team spirit in style.

Looking to cater to the idiosyncratic palates of sports enthusiasts in the area, the new bar promises to be a home-run hangout spot with something for everyone. "Sometimes you just need a place that shows Australian Rules Football, European Rugby, and Minor league baseball," Miller said in the a statement obtained by KOIN.
