A Portland ticket vendor is reeling after a break-in resulted in the loss of a prized Ibanez guitar autographed by Chris Isaak, along with an iPhone. Amy Maxwell, owner of Ticket Tomato, located in the Johns Landing neighborhood, was the victim of a burglary early Saturday morning. After forcing their way into the second-floor office, thieves left with items of significant personal value to Maxwell.
As reported by KATU News, video surveillance captured "two, tall thin people in masks and hoodies driving a White KIA Soul" arrive to boldly commit the theft. They are seen to have used a crowbar to gain entry, a brazen act caught on camera. The emotional toll of the burglary can easily overshadow the financial one for Maxwell, who cherished the Ibanez guitar for reasons far deeper than its musical utility.
The guitar in question was not merely a signature-series instrument but a tangible connection to Maxwell’s departed friend, Lisa Lucas. According to a BNN Breaking interview, Maxwell said, "This guitar is very important to me because it is one of the only things I have of hers following her passing in 2018."
