The Lone Star State's most elusive offenders have just found themselves on an unwanted list — Texas' 10 Most Wanted. San Antonio's Jesse Mario Vega, 37, and Hutchins' Marcos Christopher Alonzo, 46, are the latest additions to this notorious roundup, state officials confirmed.
According to FOX San Antonio, Vega, who has known ties to the Tango Orejon gang, has been on the run since September 2023 after violating parole. His criminal history is marred by a 2005 conviction for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and a subsequent 2009 aggravated robbery conviction that landed him 25 years behind bars — before his 2023 parole release.
Details made public describe Vega as 5 feet 6 inches tall, 215 pounds, with distinctive tattoos marking most of his body, including his head, face, neck, chest, and arms. In an effort to tighten the net, Texas Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to his capture.
His counterpart on the run, Alonzo has evaded capture since February 2023 after he failed to meet sex offender registration requirements, according to KSAT. His troubling record includes a 2005 conviction for indecency with a child following an incident with a five-year-old girl, which resulted in a five-year prison stint. A similar, failure to register as a sex offender charge netted him another three years in 2011.
Alonzo is described as standing 5 feet 11 inches and weighing approximately 250 pounds, he is also heavily tattooed, with ink covering his head, neck, chest, and arms. As with Vega, a bounty is on the table — this time up to $3,000 for any information that leads to his arrest. To claim a reward, tips must be submitted through the official channels detailed by Crime Stoppers or the DPS website.
Community members with potentially crucial information on the whereabouts of Vega or Alonzo, have been urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-252-8477 or submit a tip online, where anonymity and the prospect of a cash reward might just tip the scales towards justice. As of now, these fugitives walk free, but with each passing moment and every tip received, their time in the shadows may soon expire.
