San Antonio police are on the hunt for a driver who seemed to vanish into the night after flipping his truck on the city's west side. The crash occurred around the witching hour Tuesday.
According to a report by KENS 5, the pickup met its fate after striking the curb and a ramp in front of a business on the 1500 block of South Zarzamora. It must have been quite the spectacle - the vehicle rolling over before settling in the street, its driver fleeing before law enforcement could even arrive.
While the suspect truck lay immobilized, the authorities found themselves with no one to hold accountable. As confirmed by Fox San Antonio, the driver made a swift exit, ghosting the scene and avoiding the inevitable confrontation with the police.
Investigators have not yet released descriptions or speculated on why the driver skedaddled, but with no other vehicles involved and, thankfully, no injuries reported. Officials have not yet determined if the truck was stolen, or if other factors contributed to the driver's instantaneous disappearance.
The San Antonio Police Department continues probing the case. Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
