
San Antonio police are on the hunt for a suspect following a brazen robbery at a QuickTrip convenience store. According to FOX San Antonio, the theft occurred in the early morning hours of March 4, at approximately 4:20 a.m. on San Pedro Ave.
The unidentified man entered the store, initially posing as a customer, he sought to purchase alcohol out of legal sales hours. When refused service by the store clerk, the man helped himself to several bottles of wine. The situation escalated when the clerk attempted to intervene, resulting in the suspect drawing a knife and threatening the employee before making an exit with the stolen goods.
In a push for leads, the San Antonio Police Department is appealing to the public for assistance. A media release from the department, which detailed the series of events, included the fact that the case number assigned to this incident is SAPD24048631, a figure that could be key for anyone with potential information. A reward for information leading to an arrest is firmly on the table. KSAT reports that Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for such tips.
Tippers with knowledge of the robbery or the suspect's whereabouts are encouraged to reach out to Crime Stoppers directly to qualify for the reward. According to the Crime Stoppers policy, confidentiality is guaranteed for all informants. With the community's help, authorities hope to close in on the perpetrator and prevent further incidents of a similar nature.
