San Antonio's grocery heavyweight H-E-B has rolled out its latest location in the Boerne area, bringing a slew of services and amenities to local shoppers. The new Fair Oaks H-E-B store swung open its doors at the bright and early time of 6 a.m. Wednesday, confirming the company's expansion efforts northwest of San Antonio.

The expansive 110,000-square-foot establishment, nestled at 29388 IH 10 West by Dietz Elkhorn Road, features the chain's familiar offerings such as the Meal Simple section for quick-eat options, the Texas Backyard for outdoor living enthusiasts, the Sushiya for freshly prepared sushi, and the Blooms department for floral enthusiasts. A unique highlight is the Cooking Connection area, which promises interactive gastronomic experiences with live demonstrations and samples for the culinarily curious.

Gilbert De La Rosa, Fair Oaks H-E-B Top Store Leader, expressed the brand's enthusiasm for the new store, telling KSAT, "Along with a commitment to top-quality service and selection, our H-E-B Partners are excited to serve our neighbors in this growing community. We are excited to provide our customers with a dynamic shopping experience and look forward to serving up the best H-E-B has to offer."

Convenience is a strong suit of the new location. It boasts a Curbside area replete with covered parking, as well as a fuel station equipped with 20 pumps to keep shoppers' vehicles running. Technology plays a friendly companion to customers, who can seamlessly plan for pickup or home delivery, making grocery runs efficient and flexible.

Further, the new H-E-B store is set to serve as the cornerstone of a larger 118-acre development at Lemon Creek Ranch, edged with potential for office and retail spaces, restaurants, and ample green spaces—including upwards of 25 acres dedicated to parks with walking and biking trails—as per a previous report by KSAT. The property, measuring just shy of 14 acres, came into H-E-B's possession two years ago in January 2021, according to Bexar County records.
