A Mt. Carmel High School teacher is behind bars following her arrest on allegations that she sexually assaulted a student over two years, the San Diego Police Department reported. In a tale of abuse that has rocked the community, Stacy Michelle Walker, a 39-year-old educator, is accused of preying on a 15-year-old student with illicit activities beginning back in 2017.
Details emerged that Walker engaged the underage student in conversations that quickly turned to sexual content. She proceeded to openly exchange a trove of photographs, videos, and explicit messages. Meetings between the teacher and the student ensued, where various sexual acts were performed. The abuse did not cease until after the victim turned 18. According to the City of San Diego's official website, this case has just begun to unravel following the victim's brave decision to come forward last year.
The San Diego Police Department Sex Crimes Unit acted swiftly on July 31, 2023, when the victim disclosed the abuse. Their investigation culminated on March 20 with Walker's arrest. She awaits a court hearing scheduled for tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. at the San Diego Superior Court as the allegations turn to further scrutiny.
