The San Jose Police Department has issued an urgent appeal to the public for assistance locating Adriano Sagaysay, an 85-year-old man last observed on the 1300 Block of Mayhew Ct. Departing from a residence at about 5 p.m. on March 10, Sagaysay's whereabouts have since been a question that lingers with an unsettling weight on the community.
Described as a Filipino male, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds, Mr. Sagaysay's disappearance is particularly troubling given his advanced age and the worry that it naturally births. His hair, a mingling of black and grey reaching down to his shoulders, maybe a distinguishing feature for those on the lookout. Walking away from his home, he was last seen in a brown button-up flannel, a brown baseball cap, and jeans that may be either blue or tan.
The San Jose Police Department's Public Information Office took to X a message that carried the sharp sting of urgency. It provided a photograph and details of Mr. Sagaysay, hoping that the community might serve as their eyes in fields far and wide. The post implored, "Please help us locate this at risk missing person." The department asks that anyone with information immediately call 911 and has encouraged sharing the information widely, knowing that there might be hope found in numbers.
