South winds will reach 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph, and temperatures will struggle to rise above the high 40s. The chance of precipitation today is pegged at 100%, the service states, with new rainfall amounts ranging between a tenth and a quarter of an inch.

Tonight, the likelihood of showers persists, primarily before 7 p.m., with mostly cloudy conditions and a low of around 41 degrees. Gusts of wind may reach up to 24 mph from the south-southwest, and there’s a 60% chance of precipitation, with minimal new rainfall expected.
Looking ahead to Monday, the National Weather Service predicts a chance of morning showers, then a turn to steady rain after 11 a.m. Highs will hover near 48 degrees, and the south wind will blow at 9 to 13 mph. The probability of rain continues at 90%, with a chance of up to a quarter-inch of precipitation.
By Monday night, residents should prepare for more rain and a low temperature of around 43 degrees, while winds from the south southeast could hit speeds of 16 to 18 mph, with gusts, as high as 24 mph. The forecast promises a 100% chance of rain and rainfall amounts between a quarter and half an inch. Tuesday won't offer much respite, with showers and high temperatures near 50 degrees. A south-southwest wind of approximately 16 mph, along with gusts that may reach 21 mph, will likely accompany another assured day of precipitation.
As the week progresses, the weather pattern will remain unsettled but with a drop in precipitation probabilities. Showers are likely Tuesday night with a 60% chance of rain before 11 p.m. The mercury will dip to around 38 degrees at night, and then rise to about 50 degrees on Wednesday with only a 20 percent chance of showers and partly sunny skies.
Heading towards the weekend, Seattleites can begin to see a light at the end of the tunnel. The National Weather Service’s forecast gradually shifts to more agreeable conditions. Thursday should yield partly sunny weather with a high near 54 degrees and by Friday, the skies are expected to be mostly sunny with the temperature climbing to 57. The warming trend continues, setting up for a mostly sunny Saturday with highs soaring to the mid-60s.
