Seattle neighborhoods are on edge as authorities intensify their hunt for a serial flasher targeting areas around schools in Magnolia and Queen Anne. The individual accused of several indecent exposure incidents has prompted local schools to alert families, particularly advising young girls to remain watchful of their surroundings.
The Seattle Police Department, whose sexual assault unit is now investigating the numerous reports, has been in a race to swiftly apprehend the perpetrator. "If I had a daughter in that situation, I would be scared for sure," said Ava Wright to KOMO News reflecting a sentiment echoed across the concerned neighborhoods.
The rising alarm among residents has been palpable, with Meg Neely adding, "I feel horrible I don’t think it’s OK that you like feel scared to walk home from school," during an interview with KATU News. These incidents have cast a shadow over the community's sense of safety, particularly affecting the day-to-day lives of families and students in the area.
While the Seattle Police Department continues to gather evidence and follow up on leads, they are calling on locals to remain alert and report any suspicious activity. Efforts to safekeep public areas are being heightened, with the urgency to pinpoint and capture the flasher undoubtedly mounting as each day passes by without an arrest.
