Tragedy struck the streets of Southeast D.C. as a man fell victim to a brutal fatal shooting this past weekend. According to a release by the Metropolitan Police Department, officers from the Seventh District rushed to the scene on the 2700 block of Jasper Street, Southeast after receiving reports of gunshots at around 10:05 p.m. on Sunday. Found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, 31-year-old William Hargrove of Capitol Heights, MD was discovered, unable to survive his injuries, and declared deceased on the scene.
As this story develops, the Metropolitan Police have encouraged the community's involvement, offering a substantial reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in connection with the homicide of Hargrove.
