A Stanwood pharmacy was hit by thieves in a break-in that occurred early Saturday morning, as reported by local authorities. The Mecosta County Sheriff's Office is currently on the case after the Canadian Lakes Pharmacy, located on Buchanan Road, had its quiet shattered by the incident.
According to WZZM13, the perpetrators attempted to gain access to the pharmacy through adjacent businesses in the strip mall before successfully breaking through the back wall. After breaching the pharmacy's defenses, drugs were reported stolen from the premises. Pharmacy staff, upon opening for business Saturday, discovered the break-in and alerted authorities.
The sheriff's office, spurred by the severity of the crime, is turning to the public in hopes of casting light on the perpetrator's identity. FOX 17 shared surveillance images of the suspect and a potential suspect vehicle, urging anyone with information to step forward.
