
A typical yesterday night clipping buzzes turned into a scene of violence in San Antonio when a haircut led to a shooting fracas, with police now scouring for a gunman on the lam.
The incident unfurled on the 8100 block of Shumard Oak Drive where, around 9 p.m., an 18-year-old found himself in the recoil of a dispute, culminating in a gunshot wound, according to the FOX San Antonio report. The young man was carted off to the hospital, his condition stable, his injuries serious but not deadly.
Amid the aftermath, a 17-year-old barber related to police that a skirmish broke out between the victim and an unidentified antagonist. The quarrel quickly escalated when the assailant brandished a firearm. In reaction, the victim dashed to the safety of his parked car, while the gun-toting suspect made for his black pick-up truck, police detailed.
What followed, was a volatile exchange of gunfire. As the suspect absconded, bullets cascaded towards the victim's vehicle, striking him in the back. The teenage barber, weapon in hand, emerged from the barbershop. His own firearm barking as he aimed towards the fleeing truck, detailed in the statement obtained by FOX San Antonio. For carrying his weapon unlawfully, the minor was detained by authorities.
