Gunfire rattled a peaceful Deerfield Beach neighborhood Friday night when three individuals were wounded in a triple shooting, according to local authorities. The Broward Sheriff’s Office and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue crews rushed to the 200 block of Northwest Eller Street at approximately 9:37 p.m. following reports of the incident, as Broward Sheriff’s Office spokesman Carey Codd confirmed in a statement obtained by Local 10.
Upon arrival, first responders found the trio with gunshot wounds and quickly transported them to a nearby hospital, where the severity of their injuries remained undisclosed the victims' conditions, however, have not been made public, and it is unclear at this time how they are faring following the harrowing ordeal. The scene of the shooting, normally quiet and residential, was corded off as an active investigation unfolded, as the Broward Sheriff's Office delved into gathering evidence and piecing together the circumstances that led to the violent outbreak.
The Sheriff’s Office is now seeking information from the public, urging anyone who may know something about the shooting to come forward and contact Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
