Early yesterday morning, a drive-by shooting on the northeast side left three people wounded, San Antonio Police report. According to KENS 5, the incident took place in an unknown part of San Antonio, with the three victims, ages 21, 23 and 18, arriving at a local hospital at around 3:23 a.m., sporting gunshot wounds to their extremities.
The victims, currently recovering, told police they were driving when an unidentified shooter opened fire on their vehicle, police have not yet identified a specific crime scene nor have they given a description of the suspects involved in the shooting. This particular area of town has been marred by sporadic violence, and community concerns have been on the rise.
SAPD is continuing its investigation into the troubling event, appealing to the public for any details that might lead to an arrest. As it stands, the crime scene remains at large, and the shooter or shooters are still at large with no clear motives provided by the authorities or gleaned from the victim's accounts.
