In a grim snapshot of urban violence, two 14-year-old boys have been charged with the murder of 30-year-old Anthony Lee Buchanan Jr. The youth, identified as Tyrese Summers and Kimarion Henry, are accused of carrying out a deadly shooting on University Court last Thursday night.
The Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) captured footage of the event, showing Buchanan collapsing from multiple gunshot wounds as the teens allegedly fled to swiftly seek refuge in a nearby apartment. According to police, the confrontation was sparked by a dispute over a mere $300 that Buchanan purportedly stole from Summers.
The report provided by Nashville officials states that detectives did not hesitate to track down the suspects, subsequently discovering them alongside a horde of illicit materials. Four handguns, quantities of marijuana, and cocaine turned the gritty apartment scene into a tableau of juvenile delinquency.
Confronted with the weight of the evidence, Summers and Henry reportedly admitted to actively participating in the shooting. The juvenile duo has been subsequently charged with criminal homicide and juvenile handgun possession. Consequences loom over them as the justice system prepares to take its course in juvenile court.
