
West Springfield detectives are on the hunt for two men involved in a brazen daylight theft at a local Century shopping plaza business. The West Springfield Police Department appealed to the public on Facebook, sharing images and asking for help in identifying the suspects responsible for the robbery that took place on February 24.
The incident, logged as Case #: 24-3387-OF by the WSPD, unfolded around 12:30 p.m. when the two males were seen loading up on clothing and fleeing the scene. Reports indicate once outside the store, these individuals made a dash towards the Memorial Bridge, disappearing from the immediate sight of the baffled onlookers.
Authorities have released photographs of the suspects caught by surveillance cameras, in the hopes that someone will recognize them. According to the West Springfield Police Department's Facebook post, Detective Latino is leading the investigation and has encouraged anyone with information to come forward. Tips can be provided by calling (413) 263-3210 ext. 244, and informant's can choose to remain anonymous.
The department has expressed gratitude in advance for the public's cooperation, stressing the importance of community involvement in resolving such cases.
