Members of the White Settlement Police Department joined forces with military families to celebrate the USAF 301st Family Day this past weekend at NAS JRB Fort Worth. The event, marked by unity and gratitude, saw Sgt. Lana Cook and Officer Jonathan Loser stand together with Chief Cook to honor the servicemen and women for their commitment to the nation.
“Great event with amazing people who serve our blessed country,” Chief Cook remarked, as he took to appreciate fully the members of the military and their kin. The sentiment of appreciation was a common thread throughout the sunny Sunday gathering, as law enforcement officials and military personnel joined to reflect on the sacrifices made by those in uniform.
The local law enforcement's presence was a gesture meant to bridge the gap between civil service and military duty, reinforcing a sense of community and shared service. The officers present were warmly received by the military families, with plenty of interactions that strengthened the bonds between the two groups.
Chief Cook encapsulated the spirit of the day, “Thankful for the opportunity to remind our service men and women along with their families how much we appreciate their service and dedication.” His words, shared by the White Settlement Police Department on their Facebook page, echo a sentiment of national pride and mutual support that was the theme of the day's events.
It was a moment for the military families to, for a brief respite, lay aside the weight of their duties and bask in the community's gratitude. The event concluded on a high note, leaving participants with a palpable sense of camaraderie as they enjoyed the rest of their Sunday.
