The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a wind advisory for Middle Tennessee, cautioning residents about strong gusts that could reach up to 35 mph. The advisory, which remains in effect from 1:00 p.m. Monday through 7:00 a.m. CDT Tuesday, covers a wide area including Nashville, Clarksville, and Murfreesboro amongst other cities.

"Southeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected," the NWS warned, "Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result." The advisory also indicated that conditions are likely to make driving difficult, particularly for high profile vehicles, so motorists are advised to use extra caution on the roads.

Alongside the wind, the weather outlook for the week includes a mix of showers and sunny skies. Today's forecast anticipates mostly cloudy skies with temperatures peaking at around 68 degrees and wind speeds ramping up with gusts as high as 35 mph. Thunderstorms are likely to sweep through later in the evening and persist into early Tuesday morning.

Wet weather is expected to clear up by Tuesday night with a 30 percent chance of showers before 8:00 p.m., leading to mostly clear skies and a lower around 41 degrees. A sunny Wednesday is on the horizon with a high near 63 degrees and a calm north-northwest breeze. Residents can look forward to a gradual warming trend, culminating in a high near 79 degrees on Sunday, according to NWS Nashville.
