In a sudden eruption of violence at an East Side San Antonio Motel 6, a woman was shot in the arm and chest during a drive-by shooting, according to local authorities. The San Antonio Police Department reported that the shooting took place at around 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, outside the establishment located on IH-10 and O'Connor. A responding officer, originally preoccupied with a separate case, raced to the victim's aid upon hearing the gunfire.
Witnesses at the scene described a turbulent confrontation between a couple outside of the motel moments before a vehicle pulled up and unleashed a hail of bullets.
