An Ann Arbor man is facing hefty charges after police say he attacked his wife and a teenage girl in a violent domestic incident. Munsif Altork, age 49, has been hit with two counts of assault with intent to murder and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, the authorities confirmed. The stabbing took place early Monday morning in the 2900 block of Braeburn Circle, a normally serene enclave shaken by the events that unfolded.
According to Ann Arbor police reports, Altork was arraigned Tuesday and is being held on a massive $2 million bond. The district judge has slated his next court appearance for April 25. The grizzly incident left Altork's 42-year-old wife in critical condition and a 15-year-old girl stable after both were quick to be taken to Metro Detroit hospital for their wounds.
