Chaos broke out in a normally quiet Northwest Side neighborhood as two armed youngsters were caught on camera burglarizing a vehicle, authorities said. The incident occurred near midnight on March 7 in front of a residence off Rue De Lis Street, close to New Guilbeau Road, and has spurred a police manhunt.

In a shocking video released by the San Antonio Police Department on Facebook and obtained by FOX San Antonio, one youth is seen brandishing what appears to be a firearm while rifling through an SUV. The footage further depicts another boy, armed and emerging from the backseat of a red vehicle, seemingly standing guard during the illicit act.

The scene escalated when the vehicle's owner confronted the burglars. Running up to the youths, the victim reported to police that he was met with gunfire, a statement echoed by a video that captured the harrowing exchange. "The suspects shot at him when he came outside," the victim recounted. In self-defense, the victim asserts, "he returned fire into the ground," attempting to deter the young assailants.

San Antonio police are now urging anyone with information about the two young suspects to come forward.
