The scene escalated when the vehicle's owner confronted the burglars. Running up to the youths, the victim reported to police that he was met with gunfire, a statement echoed by a video that captured the harrowing exchange. "The suspects shot at him when he came outside," the victim recounted. In self-defense, the victim asserts, "he returned fire into the ground," attempting to deter the young assailants.

San Antonio police are now urging anyone with information about the two young suspects to come forward.
