The Atlanta Police Department reported that the Texaco gas station on 2716 Martin Luther King Junior Drive SW was hit by armed thieves on February 20, as detailed by Atlanta News First.
The employee on duty endured a harrowing ordeal when several men stormed in around 5:30 a.m., forced him to the ground at the point of a gun and made off with cigarettes, a savings box and the cash register's contents. The culprits then fled in a black pickup truck, the authorities said. Crime Stoppers Atlanta is now offering up to a $2,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
Determination to apprehend the assailants is clear, as conveyed by WSB TV, which obtained details of the APD BOLO issued by the Robbery Unit.
