Yesterday, a 57-year-old man is in the hospital with a gunshot wound after an incident on the far south side of Bexar County, officials said. The man was found by deputies inside his truck with a wound to his abdomen, on the side of the road near Interstate 37 and Priest Road, according to the KENS5 report.

The Bexar County Sheriff's Office is on the hunt for two suspects involved in the shooting, which reportedly took place shortly before 11 a.m. on the 21700 block of IH37 South, as stated by a Fox San Antonio article. The victim, located in a Dodge pickup truck about half a mile north of the Priest on-ramp was found alone, the identity of his assailants unknown to him, and the circumstances leading up to the violence remain unclear.

The shooting took a turn for the bizarre with the victim asserting that he was unable to identify who shot him, casting a veil of mystery over the violent encounter.
