A Bibb County incident escalates into an aggravated assault and arson case, as a 53-year-old woman is arrested for dousing a younger female with gasoline. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, deputies responded to an emergency call at 11:37 a.m. on Sunday at a residence on the 3800 block of Log Cabin Drive, where they found a 25-year-old woman with gasoline on her face and clothes and a fire was set inside the home, the fire was extinguished and no one else was harmed.
Following the event, Kimberly Lashawn Brooks was detained and transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, facing charges of Aggravated Assault and First Degree Arson; she was denied bond, as reported by 41NBC. The Bibb County Sheriff's Office urges anyone with information to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
The victim, whose identity was not disclosed, received immediate treatment from paramedics at the scene. No further injuries were reported during the incident, and the sheriff's office has made an appeal for public assistance.
