The Boston Police Department has issued a missing person alert for 15-year-old Jayla Santiago from Dorchester, and is urgently seeking help from the public to quickly locate her. Santiago was last seen early Friday morning, on April 12, 2024. According to the police, she vanished from her Dorchester neighborhood at approximately 7:00 AM near 206 Norwell Street.

Santiago is described as a Hispanic female, standing at about 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing around 150 pounds, with black braided hair and green/hazel eyes. On the day of her disappearance, she was wearing a puffy black jacket and red and black checkered pants, and was carrying a black purse. In a worrisome twist to her routine, the Tech Boston Academy student did not show up for school that day.

The Boston Police have initiated comprehensive search efforts and are reaching out to the community for any leads. In a public plea for assistance, they've shared a contact line for anyone who might have information on her whereabouts. "Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is advised to contact 911 or B-3 Detectives at 617-343-4712," reported the BPD's official site.
