The Boston Police Department is on the hunt for a suspect involved in a brazen afternoon robbery in Downtown Crossing, and they're calling on the public for help. In a community alert released, officials detailed the January 30 incident wherein an individual violently assaulted and robbed a person on Washington and Bromfield Streets.
Described by the authorities, the suspect, who was seen wearing a black knit cap, black neck warmer, a black vest, and a hood, has eluded capture since the crime was perpetrated around 3:25 PM. At the time of the incident, the suspect also donned a multi-colored long sleeve shirt, ripped dark jeans, and dark shoes while utilizing a blunt instrument to hit the victim on the head and stole jewelry. Witnesses or anyone with potentially beneficial information are urged to step forward.
BPD's District A-1 detectives are piecing together the evidence and appealing to community members to assist in the case.
